In brief - I love science, rock music and F1, tennis, & rugby. Plus my many great friends, the gym, cocktails, gorgeous views and nice walks, countryside & coast, TV, my cat, traveling, and coming home.
I run my own small business as a strategy consultant specialising in helping businesses be for good not just for profit. It's interesting and varied, I've definitely found a niche I enjoy and have no great ambition to take over the world, but am chuffed with the business I've got. But the thing I love the most is my Friday work - I volunteer in primary schools doing talks on geology and space exploration, and I love it! I've done a lot of extra study on the side, in sustainability, space and geosciences, and I love to use it to wow and inspire other people's kids (having none of my own to bore/wow with it!).
I like to cook, though always looking to broaden the repertoire. And tend to always have a 'project' on the go in the house, in the garden, or planning a big trip. Addicted to my ipod, love to collect music (rock & alternative mostly), go to a lot of concerts/gigs, and like to read a lot. Like to be active but not really sporty - a bit of ballroom and latin dancing, lots of scuba diving in the past, but nowadays mostly enjoy the gym, swimming, and a bit of outdoor walking and sea views, though would also like to try golf again. I hate celebrity gossip, TV soaps, and the likes of TOWIE, so if you're looking for an expert in any of those, keep looking :) Equally, I can't do conspiracy theorists, ardent brexiteers or 'born again' anythings.... though kudos to the 'flat earthers' for the absolute hilarity they provide.
My friends think I've just been unlucky not to meet the right guy yet, but I'd really like to - so if you're looking for drama or baggage to deal with, that's not me!

It's more about the spark of chemistry than looks. My only hope would be that they are taller than me, being a tall bird myself. But personality-wise I look for someone who has enough self confidence to flow through life without sweating the small stuff, but is not arrogant enough to only see the world through their own eyes. Someone who's traveled a bit, has interesting stuff to chat about, takes an interest in what I think and do, has good friends of their own (you can tell a lot about someone by the company they keep!)... and a sparkle in their eye and spring in their step....
