About him
Alright, I'm a good guy. I have worked at group homes for the mentally challenged and now sit on the board of a company that serves the same people. I am responsible for and oversee our team's community involvement at my current job. We have so far worked with the Ronald McDonald House, Assistance League of Omaha, Habitat for Humanity, the Juan Diego Center, and more. I find it interesting that the people from work that most often volunteer (and who I can count on) for assisting those that are less fortunate usually don't have a religious affiliation. This leads me to my first admission: I'm really an Atheist for all intents and purposes. My parents are still religious and I learned my values and developed my morals from what they taught and represented. They are very good people and I love them deeply. My cousin and other 'believers' that I speak with often say that I really do believe based on what I say, but I'm just in denial. Unfortunately, I think the reason for this is that they cannot see that good deeds or leading a moral life can be done without the inspiration of something beyond yourself.
