About him
I’m happiest when life feels a little unpredictable: discovering a new place, getting on a train with a camera and no particular plan, finding a brilliant little bar or restaurant, or having one of those conversations that somehow lasts until closing time.
I’m a freelance web developer and photographer, which means I spend some of my time in front of a computer and rather more of it trying to escape from one. I love photography, cities, Italy, travelling by train, good food, decent wine and the simple pleasures that seem to get overlooked when everyone is busy being terribly important.
I’m curious by nature and probably slightly nomadic by temperament. I like having somewhere to call home, but I also like the feeling that I could wake up one morning and decide to spend the next few weeks somewhere completely different.
I’m drawn to people who are independent, curious and comfortable being themselves. Intelligence is attractive, but so is kindness. A sense of humour is essential. I’m not looking for someone to fill a hole in my life; I’d rather meet someone who already has a life of her own and would enjoy sharing some of it with me.
Ideally, there would be plenty of conversation, plenty of laughter, spontaneous trips, long lunches, walks that turn into drinks, and the occasional complete lack of sensible planning.
I still have a lot I want to see, photograph, learn and experience. It would be rather nice to find someone who feels the same.
