Looking for my last first date, a partner to join me in a forever serious relationship.
I am honest, loyal, easy going and supportive.
Joined the Royal Navy at 15, loved the sea, sailed every ocean visiting over 50 countries. Met and worked with people from all walks of life, at one stage seconded to the Royal Household. Experiences include being caught in Typhoons in the South China Sea, fighting ship fires in the Pacific and being rammed in the Arctic.
Post Navy worked in Theatre for a time before putting myself through University which led to me being offered and accepting the position of University Lecturer. Thoroughly enjoyed but after a few years accepted the position of Network Manager in a large college where I designed and built one of the largest educational computer and telephony networks in the south of England. I managed this until retirement. Now happily engaged in DIY projects which include building raised vegetable beds, replacing 6 foot timber fencing and general maintenance projects.
Love most types of music, prone to breaking into dance while cooking in the kitchen and accompanying that with singing (not very well) . So much more pleasurable with someone to accompany me!
I love the countryside and the coast, walking with my dog in all weathers usually with a stupid smile on my lips. Love the smell of the sea, the wind in my face and the smell of the salt air, the sound of the wind through the trees.
Enjoy DIY, gardening, cooking, walking my dog and photography.
I miss being in a relationship with a loving partner, the comfortable silences broken with a knowing smile, the enjoyment of simple pleasures like holding hands when out and the moments of ridiculous stupidity which when seen by the younger generation will elicit such phrases as 'Act your Age Why Don't You', answered by me with a smile of total contentment.
