About her
I am caring, witty and loyal. I see the positive in people and situations and like to have a laugh - my humour is quick and dry although I also tell some quite bad jokes! I am petite (this means I don't get any taller as I come towards you!) and look younger than I am (apart from a few of those pesky grey hairs sneeking through). I am friendly, warm and open-minded, although have been told I can seem a bit cautious at first meeting. Although I'm of Mauritian origin I was born in less exotic Kent and brought up in the home counties.
I've always been independent, which has its pros and cons & I may have been accused of being stubborn on occasions ;o) I'm not really into typically girlie stuff like shopping and shoes but will confess to sniffing shampoo and shower gel to check it smells nice!
I keep reasonably fit, cross-training 5-6 times a week & have triathlon plans, but am not a fanatic. I like the outdoors but am afraid to say I have become slightly more fair-weather with age! I also like a bit of adventure & have been known to do a bit of kayaking, rock climbing and paragliding. But am equally happy going for a gentle walk, ending up in a pub and enjoying a good roast...or even skipping the walk and just eating good food and drinking a few glasses of wine or beer. I'm afraid I don't like eating offal or things with suckers or tentacles and cucumber should be eliminated.
In my leisure time I like to spending time with friends, countryside walks, adventurous holidays, good films, reading, keeping fit, watching international rugby, meals out, music festivals or sitting on my patio with a large G & T...
I enjoy stuff like the Goodwood Festival of Speed / Revival & food / music festivals. But I also like places with volcanoes, bubbling mud and amazing nature, including weird and wonderful creatures.
One last thing you should know: I have been accused of being a nerd - this is true to some extent, but believe me, I can be non-nerdy as well :o)

I don't have a specific 'type' but I'm looking for someone to share both the adventures and the non-adventures of life with. Trust, a good sense of humour (including the ability to tell cheesy jokes), being a caring chappy, intelligence and honesty are few of the characteristics I think are essential...not much then!
The main thing is to see if we click and we'll only know that if we meet up and see what happens.
