About her
I'm a social scientist, who specialises in public understandings of science, and am passionate about complexity theory and quantum physics, from a lay perspective.
Aside from that, I'm an equal mix of extrovert and introvert, who loves to travel, backpacker style, all over the world. I've spent my life in the outdoors, hiking, canoeing, camping, biking, trail running, cross-country skiing etc and have lived in 3 different countries: UK, Canada and New Zealand, so consider myself tri-cultural.
However, whilst I love to spend weekends outdoors, I'm a city girl at heart, and equally at home negotiating the complex labyrinths of large, multi-cultural cities such as London, Toronto, or Phnom Penh, for that matter.

I think that perhaps we all have an 'ideal type', but realise that thats all it is in the end. As far as a good match is concerned, I'm a mix of the athletic and intellectual, so you'd be the same - able to participate in a friendly, thoughful debate, but equally happy trekking/trail running in the Himalayas, or closer to home.
A good sense of humour is also important - able to see the humour in life, at least some of the time :) I'm attracted to spontaneity, but stability is equally appealing, but with the ability to be open to new experiences in life. So thats the ideal....but none of us are perfect, and as my headline states, love is a complex science!!
Whilst I'm slightly marooned in this gorgeous location at the edge of the earth, for the right person, I'm prepared to move.
