About her
Yes, It's true. I belly dance. I love any kind of dancing, either trying it myself or watching it. I've been dancing since I was three and unfortunately, like many athletes, my knees aren't what they used too be, so I have to adapt. I've taken up some other pursuits, like writing. I am working on a (steamy) novel & short stories. It's harder than I thought, but a little challenge is a good thing. I try to write every day. I also proofread for other writers. I love helping them, plus I get to see what they've written before it gets published.
My friends say I'm funny and when we get together we laugh so hard our sides hurt. I have a dry sense of humor. I love Monty Python and British comedies. I like quirky and offbeat things. Love antiques for the stories behind them.
I'm a but of a geek in that I love SF and fantasy. (And I admit it, I have played Dungeons & Dragons and a few other role-playing table-top and online games, though I have never LARPed.) I love action movies, too. (Don't think you are being romantic by taking me to a chick flick, because for the most part, I hate them. I enjoy trivia. I also love intelligence conversations.
I am very open-minded and love to discuss movies, books, and religion--politics, not so much.
I find myself attracted to Mediterranean types, maybe because I'm half Italian. The personal warmth, the importance of family, the gregariousness, I love it. I also love men in kilts, maybe because I'm Scotch/Irish, too. But I don't want to limit myself. Interesting people come in all different packages.
Right now, I'm looking to expand my social circle, meet new people, go out, have fun. I like to play things by ear and see where it takes me. When I belly dance, much of it is improv. Same when I write, I set my characters in motion and see where they go. Right now, that's how I look at a new relationship. Let's get together and see where it goes.

I would love to meet someone intelligent, funny, and little geeky. (See my profile.) Not being geeky isn't a deal killer as long as I can still do some of my geeky things, like attend steampunk gatherings.) I want someone who is financially stable--who doesn't? Someone who likes music and dancing...if you can't dance, that's fine, I can do it for the both of us. In the past, I have clicked very well with guys in the computer field. I'm more of a software person myself. I've also clicked with other writers that I've met online. Unfortunately, they are either married, or live too far away.
Do you like ethnic food? I do. Just about any kind.
I'm adventurous, but I'm not about to go bungee jumping or sky diving.
I'd like you to be liberal in your outlook, or else we will need to make certain topics off limits.
