About him
Despite the temptation, I’ve been truthful with my age. I’m regularly told by strangers I look much younger than my years. So I'm lucky! To some extent I put this down to retiring from work (but not life) in January 2023 (aged 71) after a very satisfying career spanning almost 50 years.
I’ve a faint Scottish accent and have a zest for life, a 'can do' mentality and seek to see the positive and funny side in everything.
Most think I'm driven, have a sharp mind and wit, loyal, caring, loving and tactile with the right person.
I'm sociable and equally happy cuddling up to watch a good movie etc.
I appreciate & admire the power and creativity of art, music and words and I'm very eager to learn more.
I love the outdoors, am adventurous and like the good things in life. I’m enthusiastic about keeping fit through Pilates, running & cycling and open to other ways.
I’d hope there is a mutual desire to keep toned and fit and we can find ways of doing this together.
I love cooking - fun & laughter awaits preparing and enjoying a meal together, drink in hand.
I prefer activity breaks (e.g. fly drives, cycling, white river rafting, seeing far and wide etc.) with the occasional lazy ones/days with a good non-fiction book.
I love country/coastal walks or exploring a City with coffee & cake/people watching stops.
While I’m very happy with my life and lot, I know life would be more rewarding with a lovely lady. I know it's possible - I’ve had it once and believe it can happen again if you want it (I do).

About his ideal match
I'm serious about finding a discerning lady with a calm disposition to share life together - the ups and downs and, crucially, the silences.
