About him
I've strived for many years trying to realise my dream to be a contemporary music composer (think "artful noise" concert hall music for the uninitiated) and just started my PhD.
Being in the mid-30s is difficult for me. On one end there's still the pull of ambition and passion while on the other is a deep longing to balance up my romantic needs and a sense of a more settled life.
I'm very laid back on the surface. I quietly plan things out in my head but am not one who manically jumps out of bed everyday, ticking off lists and anxious about letting the day slip by without being productive. I look for someone who understands and respects my need for my own space and pace but don't get me wrong, I'm never cold and distant. I just have my own pace of working things out.
I'm INTP so I enjoy very open, objective conversations on mostly any topics on life (less passionate about gadgets, machines or sports). People who are too sensitive and too easily offended by direct manners of speech or too concerned with politically-correct, narrow definition of things limit the ease with which I can communicate and converse freely with them.
I'm mostly a homebody but regularly needs to roam outdoors and get active such as hiking or jogging around the park. Can't be detached from nature for too long.

I've held on to romantic ideals for too long and to the pathological belief that love and sex must go hand-in-hand. I usually fall hopelessly and head-over-heels for slim and fair guys with sweet-natured, naive, unassuming faces and boyish, effeminate face structures. I hope I could broaden my perspective and palate beyond that. That may take some time for adjustment (I'm not certain, I haven't been successful). But we can always be friends first =)
