About him
I'm a warm hearted person who is interested in treating all people correctly. Those who are close to me are very important parts of my life. I would hope to be described as intelligent, caring, fun, and perhaps a little crazy.
I love to be outside enjoying nature, so Dartmoor and the local countryside are important to me. I love a good walk, and I love trying to find some wildlife or identifying the flora and fauna of the area! I also enjoy board games (cress, game of thrones, scrabble, Carcasonne), so it would be great to meet someone who enjoys that too. I'm getting back into one of my old hobbies too; astronomy. Just need to buy a decent telescope - naked eye and binoculars only go so far! All a bit dorky... but this is New Scientist dating, so what more did you expect?!
I also enjoy collecting and listening to LPs, with Pink Floyd being my absolute favourite. I also enjoy a range of more modern music, from folk to rock to (occasionally!) dubstep. I also have a small collection of antique maps and antique books, which will probably slowly expand!
I try to keep fit too, and on top of the walking, I enjoy cycling and running.
My outlook on life is one of peace and harmony. I'm an optimist almost all of the time, and don't like to waste a moment. Even if I'm not going to museums or getting outdoors, I like to be reading. I do like to relax with a good television drama (think Sherlock and Game of Thrones) or documentary (think... well anything interesting!! Not so much war... but anything else!), or watch a film.

My ideal match would be interested by somewhat similar things to me (although if you're on this site that's already a pretty good indicator that we have SOME similar interests!) and would be looking to have a career and life of their own into which I could become an exciting part.
I'd love to be able to explore the countryside with a partner, and maybe an occasional cycle ride or game of badminton. Board games would be great too, but I'd also be happy curling up to watch a film or interesting TV programme.
Deal breakers? Well I'm pretty chilled out and tolerant. I think a disregard for their own health and close-mindedness would be hard to deal with though.
